A new smallest planet may have been discovered.
It's named TRAPPIST-1i, and if confirmed, it would be the new smallest known planet at only 22% the width of Earth, similar to the size of Pluto. The current record is only 31% the width of Earth, held by the planet Kepler-37b.
It would be the 8th planet of the star TRAPPIST-1, so if it was confirmed, it would be tied for the most amount of planets in any star system. The Solar System and Kepler-90 already both have 8 confirmed planets, so it could be a 3 way tie if TRAPPIST-1i is confirmed to exist.
Also, we went to a lake by our house and took panoramic pictures. You can look at them in panoramic mode via this website.
