Looking forward to my chiropractor appointment tomorrow-- I missed last week's, and this many days without an adjustment really starts to take its toll. I've also had a pretty nasty headache three days running, wouldn't surprise me if it were related to my neck and my scoliosis.

I also got my first pair of bifocals a couple of days ago. They are the graduated kind, and I have mixed feelings. On the one hand it sure is nice to be able to lector from the ambo without taking my glasses off! But on the flip-side, I feel like I'm constantly having to adjust my head upwards and downwards to get things clear, no matter what I'm looking at.

I got almost two and a half hours of REM sleep last night, which is an all-time record in the years I've owned my Apple Watch-- and still woke up exhausted. I think with the radical changes having taken place in my life over the past several weeks, my brain is requiring a lot of recovery time to process everything.

Been playing more "Grandia" on Saturn. As much as I loved my Sega Genesis growing up, and as much as that platform and its games basically formed my taste in not just games but aesthetics for my whole life, I think the 32-bit hardware is my favorite. It's everything that gives the 16-bit consoles so much charm, but amped up to eleven.

Take "Grandia", the characters and enemies all have zillions of colors, and frames of animation drawn from each angle. What's more, everything is rapidly rotating and scaling around the screen. Just look at there the battle paused here, and admire that scaling and sprite detail:
