Really cool article, love stories like this. So happy God answered her prayers and those of her family. What particularly strikes me is that she was both served and served others simultaneously! For example, people helped her and her family flee to the next country over, and there wound up being no church-- so she helped start a church there. Her example shows how communion with others is truly a reciprocal act.

I stopped by the adoration chapel for a bit yesterday afternoon, having driven straight from school. As soon as I started to cross the parking lot, I started to feel emotional, and I couldn't quite figure out why. Once I was in the chapel and praying, I had this wonderful image of me being given this huge treasure chest in the form of my formation and education at St. John's.

I looked around at all of the other people praying in front of the blessed sacrament, and realized that I was doing all of this to bring this vast fortune back to them-- to share the treasure! I felt very overwhelmed with gratitude at this image; how could the Lord have possibly entrusted me with such an important mission, when there are so many others who would be so much better at it than I am? God has blessed me very much indeed.

Yesterday, I caught up with my school work and was able to go for a walk. I started off passing the Abbey, and took a picture. As I walked, I caught a glimpse of a building through the trees, which is the second shot. And then I discovered... a football pitch? The fourth picture made me think we need a photo-realistic RPG with simple gameplay, like the 16-bit era. Finally, I passed by-- and through, I hope I haven't entered an Oblivion Gate-- a strange, solitary archway. Curious!
